Review: Lavera Volume Mascara

Lavera Volume Mascara is a popular natural mascara. It promised to add volume to lashes without clumps, smudging or flaking. Here’s my unsolicited review of this lovely natural makeup product.

Lavera’s Volume Mascara is advertised as safe for sensitive eyes. Being 100% vegan and free from animal testing,  it contains all-natural ingredients. Of course there are no petroleum-based ingredients, synthetic preservatives and emulsifiers.

My Experience

Lavera Volume Mascara did what it promised: it added volume to my already long lashes. In fact, it did not clump despite my attempt to achieve thicker look by zig-zagging the wand through the lashes.

Thanks to the presence of natural oils, my lashes remained soft and conditioned throughout the day. Lavera Volume Mascara is rich in jojoba and castor oils which assist in lash growth.

As for smudging, I am not quite sure if I can say that Lavera Volume Mascara absolutely does not smudge. It does, and it does flake a little. But if you insist on using an all-natural product without silicones, artificial binders, or synthetic wax, you must expect a bit of flakiness.

People with sensitive eyes may wish that their mascara contains no essential oils or added fragrance. I always find myself a little averted by intense scents of Lavera beauty products.

I am looking forward to trying Lavera Double Black Mascara with lengthening formula on one wand and thickening formula on another. In idea, you must apply a coat of lengthening mascara and top it with thickening one. This is a curious approach and I will gladly share my opinion with you (as soon as I am through this one).
