The hotel chain debuting organic skincare line? Only if you are taling French Alps. Pure Altitude is a brainchild of French mountain-inspired beauty manufacturer, spa and hotel operator Fermes de Marie.
Comprising six products boasting anti-aging and regenerative benefits, the Pure Altitude Bio-Organic range features mountain-native plant actives including edelweiss, maca root and birch sap, in addition to hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid, also claimed to promote youthful-looking skin. Make notes: edelweiss, maca, birch, hyaluronic, salicylic (and believe me, the latter two are so hard to combine in one product, unless you are a very gifted chemist.)
For Fermes de Marie co-founder Jocelyne Sibuet, the new line, which is certified-organic by French body Ecocert, represents a turning point for the revamped spa brand as it secures a firmer footing in international markets.
“It’s the right kind of product [offer] at the right moment. I wanted to produce an organic line, but under the condition that it be very high-end and not compromise on quality and efficacy,” Sibuet tells CosmeticNews.
The Pure Altitude Bio-Organic range comes in simple white and pale green cardboard packaging, illustrated with edelweiss blossom. The line is available in France at department stores Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.
Internationally, Pure Altitude products are currently distributed in spas, high-end perfumeries, department stores and specialty stores in markets including the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Russia, Lebanon and Hong Kong.
