Face Scrub Recipe: Eat Your Greens

September 14th, 2008 · 2 Comments

As sunny days go shorter and long cold evenings are upon us, why not preserve some summer greeny goodness in a nourishing, anti-inflammatory facial scrub and mask?

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons organic wheat bran

2 tablespoons organic oatmeal

2 tablespoons olive oil soap, finely shredded

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 part dried lettuce

Method:

Shave your favorite plant oil-based soap.

Grind parsley and lettuce with pestle in mortar. Add soap shavings and mix thoroughly.

Whisk in the oatmeal and wheat brand and continue stirring until thoroughly mixed.

Store in airtight jar for up to three months.

To use, put one teaspoon in a palm of your hand, add a few drops of water or your favourite toner or a flower distillate to form a soft paste and massage gently into the skin using small circular movements. Rinse off with cool water.
