The JolieMD line, founded by plastic surgeons (none of whom carries Jolie surname) consists of two products which are claimed to be free from parabens, phthalates, artificial [...]

Kiss My Face Uses Synthetic Fragrance in Their Soaps!

August 12th, 2009 · 3 Comments

I’ve been always cautious about recommending natural beauty products, and I always recommend triple-checking the ingredients list.

Not many companies are consistently green in their offerings, and I sadly have to add Kiss [...]

Oil for Acne: a Friend or an Enemy?

March 14th, 2009 · 3 Comments

She admitted she’s a fan of “not-so-green” (can I assume conventional, chemical?) acne products and advised that we made SKINSAVER oil-free, that is, made with synthetic emollients and silicones.
Sorry. Not going to happen. [...]

Neal’s Yard Remedies: A Bit of Disappointment

August 18th, 2008 · No Comments

We are dedicated foodies. Each Saturday, we will drive for one hour or take a train to a Borough Market in London, where free-range duck and rabbit from organic farms in France are sold alongside extra-virgin olive oil from Italian monasteries, elderflower and dandelion wines, and fresh-caught monkfish and sole. We spend at least 30 [...]

To begin with, it’s called ”organic skin food” - how could I miss it? Dr. Alkaitis believes that the health is the true foundation of [...]
